Synopsis
Mismatched cousins reunite for a tour of Poland to honor their beloved grandmother. The adventure takes a turn for the worse when the couple’s old tensions resurface against the backdrop of their family history. When Benji and David visit their grandmother’s house in Poland, it is where Jesse Eisenberg; the true ancestors settled in the diaspora… Benji Kaplan: We stay mobile, we stay light, we stay agile. By the time he gets ahead, the train will be at the station and we are home free. David Kaplan: That’s so stupid. Tickets are about twelve dollars. Benji Kaplan: It’s a matter of principle. We should not pay for train tickets in Poland.

But I was so glad to see this one!
I saw this movie last week at the AFI Film Festival in Hollywood. By the time I got to this movie, I was suffering from a bit of filming overload and I was talking to someone in the audience before the movie started, I almost forgot what I was going to see! As you know from the list, Jesse Eisenberg wrote, directed and stars in this great movie about 2 cousins' trip to Poland to see the country of their beloved grandmother. Eisenberg perfectly plays the role for which he seems to be made – a nervous, edgy and devoted family man who always wants to do the right thing. Joining Eisenberg is Kieran Culkin, who plays the polar opposite of Eisenberg – loud, outspoken and willing to break the rules, much to Eisenberg’s chagrin.
So I highly recommend you check this one out asap
Culkin’s character easily befriends his fellow travelers and guide—again, much to Eisenberg’s amazement (and sometimes annoyance). The story itself is very engaging and you will find yourself wanting to join them on their tour. Culkin may be in the running for an Oscar, and Eisenberg may get a nomination for writing and/or directing.
