Line of Events
It tells the story of three very different families struggling to buy the same 1920s Spanish-style villa that they believe will solve all their problems. Hesitant but hopeful when I saw the cast, and I’m happy to say they’ve exceeded all expectations. The pacing is just right, striking a balance that fits the light drama/thriller genre perfectly. The story is both deep and engaging, and not once did I feel like I was being pulled in. The characters are expertly crafted contemporary caricatures of the region’s upper class, and their portrayal becomes increasingly humorous as the story progresses. The dialogue feels natural and helps bring the characters to life. The visual effects are simple but effective, adding to the overall mood of the story without much effort. No need to waste time scrolling endlessly — here’s the full lineup of new movies and TV shows streaming on Netflix this month.
